Loïc Le Marchand

Speaking on Saturday 2nd May 2026 AM

Television director Loïc has been the custodian of ‘Nyala’ since 2017 and in that time they have cruised extensively exploring the coasts of France, the UK, the Netherlands and Portugal.

‘Nyala’ was designed by Maurice Griffiths and built by Everson & Sons in Woodbridge in 1933. She is one of the many one-offs built by Eversons and perhaps one of the prettiest. Now kept in Piampol, Brittany, France, she recently underwent major works when her copper sheaving was removed but now, she is sailing again and turning heads everywhere she goes.

Loïc will share stories and footage of his adventures with ‘Nyala’ including, I’m sure, many ports and anchorages that the rest of us are yet to visit.
